Delivery & Returns

Time & cost

The Organic Basket delivers Australian wide!! (excepting perishable items). We do our best to process each order within 24 – 48 hours of receipt. Based on shipping area, deliveries will be done by:

  • TOB (The Organic Basket) delivery staff
  • Fastway (courier company)
  • Australia Post (mostly used for remote areas)


Once TOB delivery staff or shipping company picks up order, delivery time will be between 1 – 12 working days. (Refer to national and local maps below for detailed info). It may take longer for remote areas.

We offer an advance delivery system with a shipping calculator tool, which instantly provides the delivery cost & estimated time at the checkout section. However, free shipping is available!! (Refer to delivery maps below).

Perishable items

Perishables like Fruits and vegetables are delivered only to local areas (Mid Gold Coast QLD to Northern Rivers NSW) to support the sustainability principle and guarantee the freshness.

Perishables are delivered every Tuesday and Wednesday to the following postcodes:

If you live in a regional / rural area that doesn’t show in the Perishables Postcode Finder but seems to be included in the local Map, please get in contact with us so we can double check. Third party couriers make changes to regional / rural routes from time to time. You might be within the Perishables delivery area!!

Fruits & vegetables availability changes of constant basis. It is the nature of the organic market and this is how we can guarantee fresh organic local produce. Occasionally, we have shortage of listed fruits and/or vegetables and the result could be a missing item on your box. if this is the case, we will issue you a full refund for this item.

Delivery Tracking

Once you have placed your order and received the “Order Completed” email from us, you will be informed all the way from our warehouse to your place about the status of your order by the responsible delivery body:

The Organic Basket delivery staff:

  • Estimated delivery time will be provided by email.
  • You can contact us anytime to get your delivery order status or re-arrange place or time for shipping


Fastway (courier company):

  • You will receive an email from with the heading “Shipment Dispatched” when your order has been dispatched from our warehouse.
  • This email contains tracking url, which is the link to check the order status. By clicking this link, you will have the option to:
    • Track order status, which is updated in real time.
    • Check courier’s timetable and contact details by pressing “When will my parcel be delivered?”
  • All these steps can be done either from your desktop computer or smartphone!!.


Australia Post:

  • You will receive an email from Australia Post when your order has been dispatched from our warehouse.
  • Tracking number will be provided within this email to check delivery order status.
  • You can signup (free) with MyPost in order to benefit from great features such as:
    • Get email, SMS and push notifications along the way.
    • Redirect your parcel to a different delivery address, while it’s in transit.
    • Leave your parcel in a safe place when you’re not home.
  •  All these steps can be done either from your desktop computer or smartphone!!.


Local Pickup

If you live close to our warehouse and have chosen “Local Pickup” in the cart or checkout section, please contact us (via phone or email) to organise the collection of your goods as soon as you get the “Order Completed” email from us. Pick up takes place in our warehouse. Please refer to the contact us section for address.


If you have any questions or concerns with the goods you have procured from The Organic Basket, please let us know as soon as possible so we can attempt to sort it out quickly.

Refunds or exchanges apply if received goods are faulty or customer considers them incorrect for advertised purpose. Goods must be returned in the original packaging & condition (unopened & clean). Please contact us within 24 hours (after received your order) in writing with as much information as possible such as: invoice number, order number, reason for return or refund, photos and any additional information. Please do not dispose of damaged goods until you have liaised with us.

We will then advise process for product return. All returns and / or exchanges must be approved by the office prior to the goods being returned. If approved, refunds or exchanges will be made after the goods has been received and checked at the warehouse.

Return queries will not be processed on:

  • Discontinued items
  • Any item 14 calendar days after delivery
  • Seasonal Merchandise (Christmas, Mother’s Day, etc.)
  • Sale items


Order details

We do not deliver to PO Boxes. Please ensure delivery address has been filled properly. We do not take responsibility for incorrect address details provided.

Please use the “Delivery Instructions” section at the checkout for any special delivery instruction such as authority to leave goods without signature & additional address info (office name & building level). In the case of authorizing to leave an order without signature, tick on the “Permission to leave” box and add delivery instructions advising drivers where to leave your parcel in a safe place if you are not at home. However, please be aware that we will then not have any proof of delivery from the driver (in the form of your signature) and so cannot offer any guarantees on the security of delivery.

The Organic Basket reserves the right to cancel an order & give full refund at any time.
